Despite various successful progression of women in the present society, the condition and the status of women is still pathetic. The exagerration of power and strength of male in the society has given birth to a male dominant society where the status of women is getting degraded day by day.
In a nation where people worship the idol of a goddess, in the same nation they forget to respect and treat equavalently the immense form of goddess on the earth that is the women only. People offer prayers to goddess Durga and and take 9 days fast to show their respect for goddess but they forget to satisfy the needs and pleasures of the female in their own house.
Womens are the ones who give life to the universe. God puts life in the body but women do produce the body. Women have been given extra ordinary power to give birth to a child and are solely responsible for the continuation of life on the earth. It really feels so absurd when people call women physically weaker, it is a matter of great concern that the women have been given the responsibility to bear the pain of giving birth to a child why does this male dominant society does not accept this as a truth that females have been equivalent to male since ever and it would not be wrong if I say that females are even superior to male in certain aspects of life.
In a nation where great women like mother Teresa, Sania Mirza, Avni Chaturvedi and Sarojini Naidu have taken birth in the same nation there are still girls / women who get their wings cut when they think to fly,
They are told that girls are not meant to fly, they are meant to make a perfect gol chapati, They are made restricted to household chores and satisfying everyone's need only.
Women in today's society have proven themselves by establishing their footprints in the almost every sector, But still the society fails to recognise the worth and value of a woman.
Certain astonishing cases compels us to think that women are not safe even in their own house, The most alarming is the fact that most of the rape cases and molestation cases take place in the own house of a girl by her own relative or a family member.
So in order to maintain an equilibrium in the society between the two genders, there needs to be a threatening power which should posses certain characteristics like it should have unbiased views, certain powers to dominate over the comman man etc.
So the presence of a powerful media is very significant in the society as it plays the role of a moderator and does not allow any specific class of the society to boast or supress the other.
